These systems, developed over generations, offer valuable insights into sustainable resource management, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience, aligning with several SDGs.
Participants explore the idea of tradition as a way of knowing. They reflect on questions such as: How is knowledge preserved and transmitted across generations? What role does culture play in shaping what we accept as knowledge?
By engaging with diverse cultural practices, students gain insight into the interplay between tradition, identity, and knowledge.
These experiences help students consider how values, beliefs, and identities are shaped and sustained over time, and how globalisation is impacting this cultural continuity.
