Customised trip Designs

Archaeology is the study of human history through the material remains of past societies. It helps us understand how the world has evolved and how people lived in different periods. This program is designed to help students connect with the past, exploring how ancient communities lived and how archaeologists uncover and interpret their stories. Through site visits and hands-on activities, students will gain insights into the science of archaeology and the broader human journey.

Conservation Concerns

These architectural marvels represent India and the fear of losing them has generated a pressing need for the protection of these monuments. According to the scholars, rampant quarrying and blasting accompanied by the rains have weakened the structures, leading to their damage.
Cracks have been seen on a few other important monuments in the complex as well. Despite the regulation to stop quarrying, its operation is still a continuous one, mainly in the surrounding villages of Venkatapura and Gudalkere Bukkasagera.
Steps are being taken to conserve this world heritage and the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) hopes to put an end to these illicit practices in the area.
